Tour Guide Assistant

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with preparation and execution of tours for various recreational activities in the greater Phoenix area.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and inspection of ATV/UTV/Dirt bike fleet for daily tours
  • Minor mechanical work
  • Prompt cleaning and refitting of vehicles
  • Transporting guests to/from hotels in passenger van as needed
  • Assisting with customer invoice/paperwork before tour begins
  • May work long hours per day due to nature of business and length of tours
  • Cleans shop and maintains safe environment for customers and coworkers
  • Occasionally assists with large tours
  • Maintains and cleans firearms as needed

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma / GED required
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record required
  • Approximately 6 months customer service experience preferred
  • 1 year experience loading and unloading heavy equipment preferred

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must have good command of the English language, oral and written
  • Ability to provide superior customer service
  • Mechanical aptitude a plus

WORK CONTEXT:

  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving
  • Work is almost entirely performed in outdoor weather conditions where temperatures can exceed 100 degrees
